Pumpkin Chapatis

Mother’s Day is finally here! Prepare this awesome dish for the family in honour of all the wonderful ways that mum has come through for us.

Ingredients

3 cups of all-purpose flour

1 cup of warm water

1 block of butter

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of sugar

Pumpkin

Vegetable oil

Method

  1. Prepare the pumpkin by first dicing and boiling them. Once done, blend the pumpkin using a blender so that you can get that final puree.
  2. Using a different bowl, take the all-purpose flour and mix it with the salt and the sugar. Add the warm water and stir.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree into the flour mixture and keep on stirring.
  4. Take your pan and melt the butter then add to the mixture
  5. Add the vegetable oil and knead to make a round dough.
  6. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes then make smaller round doughs.
  7. Keep on taking one small dough at a time and flatten them so that you can make your perfect round shape.
  8. Once done, start cooking the chapatis. Make sure you add oil on both sides. Once the chapatis have turned to a golden brown, remove them and place them in a serving dish.

You can have them with a stew of your choice Enjoy!
