Chapati Season

The festive season is upon us once again. The most wonderful time of the year and so the treats come with the celebration. If you like food then it’s an extra treat. Nothing defines the Christmas season like Chapatis. 

If you have the kids at home and family stopping by then you know you should get some chapatis ready. But making the perfect chapati is an art. The taste. The smell. The texture. We have scoured the lands to make sure you have the perfect recipe for the holiday season. You can try it out with some Rina cooking oil & Prestige margarine.

Ingredients

  1. 3 Cups all-purpose flour sieved
  2. 2 Tablespoon Prestige Margarine
  3. 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  4. 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  5. 1 1/2 Cups warm water
  6. Rina Vegetable Cooking Oil 

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl. Add two tablespoons of prestige margarine & mix to form crumbs.
  2. Knead the dough. If sticky add flour bit by bit as you knead. Do this until it is firm.
  3. Cover with clingfilm and allow to rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough again and turn into balls.
  5. Roll them round & flat with a rolling pin and brush with oil.
  6. Set the stove to a medium heat, place your pan & let it warm up.
  7. Once done, you can now begin cooking the chapatis. Ensure you add Rina Vegetable oil on both sides. Once the chapatis have turned to a golden brown.
  8. Once done place it in a container and cover to keep warm.
