FUN INDOOR GAMES YOU CAN ENGAGE IN THIS SEASON

The cold weather is here and it is definite that we will be spending more time indoors. This is the best time to invite our family and friends to spend time with us. Other than catching up and having a cook out, this is also the perfect time to play. Yes, play! We have suggested games and activities you can engage in. 1. Charades

Charades is a game of pantomimes whereby you have to “act out” a phrase without speaking while the other members try to guess what the phrase is. The objective is for your team to guess the phrase as quickly as possible and is best played in teams. You can come up with random names to act out. The most amusing part of this game is watching someone describe a word as their team members get it all wrong. You all need to play it.

2. The 50-50 Kenyan Board Game

You don’t have to get stuck when your long-lost cousins come over and you have nothing exciting to discuss. 3. Monopoly

We all must have come across Monopoly at one point or another. Monopoly is a board game whereby players roll a two six-sided dice to move around the game board while buying and trading properties and developing them with houses. You can play monopoly with your nuclear family since both kids and adults get to participate. The winner is the person who ends up the richest by dominating most of the high value properties.

4. Scrabble

Scrabble is a word game that can have 2-4 players. It requires a specialized board game which comes with letter tiles and tile racks.  According to Scrabble rules, all tiles should be placed in a letter pouch or placed face down on the table beside the board. Ensure that letters are well mixed and that players do not know which letter is in what spot since everyone is your competitor. Ensure the tiles are well mixed before drawing letters. You will definitely enjoy this one.

5. A game of cards 

Card games are great for challenging young minds and creating hours of indoor fun. You can play various games with a pack of cards. It is a perfect way to kill some time and have fun with family, friends and even neighbors. Just grab a box of cards and enjoy the game.
