How To Get Rid Of Stubborn Sweat Stains
They are the most stubborn. Once you get them, your whole outfit is spoilt. They have no manners and may appear at anytime, anywhere.
Every year in June, the world celebrates Father’s Day. Dads are dear to us, and they go by many names, baba, fafa, daddy, mzae, fatheh, fathela the list goes on. An interesting thing is, that you don’t even need to be a dad, to be a dad. Think of the teacher, the uncle, neighbour, or even your boss, some of these people have acted as fathers at one point in your life.
Old school dads used to take their kids to Uhuru Park on rowboats, some still do it now, or take us on endless road trips, and even taught us how to slaughter a goat. Our dads gave us those special memories and now it’s your turn.
So, June will be dad’s appreciation month. We’ll share tips on how you can appreciate them because they rarely get any accolades. Every Father’s Day is an opportunity to create fond memories.
There are some dads who love a special meal, say Ugali, beef fry and greens. Why not surprise dad with this meal? Or maybe, he loves pastries, you can whip up a special cake just for him using Prestige in appreciation. One of the ways to a man’s heart is through his stomach after all.
If your dad loves to cook, another way is to cook with him, take those selfies and upload them, and create those memories. It will strengthen your bond and bring you closer. Make those silly funny faces, take selfies, and upload them on your social media pages, he’ll appreciate that.
Some dads love a good book, is it science fiction, war, history, or politics? Whichever genre he likes, you can reward him with a book, he’ll love you for it. Does he have a favourite football team? Buy him that team jersey with his name on the back and see him smile this will melt his heart.
If he loves cars, buy him a toy car of his favourite model, it’s the little things that make dads tick. Besides nothing would make a dad happier than a gift from his kid. You know the way dads tell dad jokes, why not return the favour?
Should dad happen to be a foodie, you can take him to his favourite restaurant and ask him to order his favourite meal. Or his favourite local food joint to eat nyama choma. Better still, ask the waiters to surprise him and sing a song in appreciation.
How about getting him a shirt and a tie? Or even take him camping? Or just call him up if you leave far from him and chat with him.
Don’t let this Father’s Day just go by, it’s an opportunity for you to bond, or if you’re not on good terms, to patch things up. People would give a limb to have a father figure and if you have one, please tell him you love and appreciate him.
