Why glycemic load matters to your health
The older we grow, the easier it becomes to pack on more pounds, due to lower metabolism. Here is the good news though: you do not need to go drastic with diets.
Have you ever started a workout regimen only to get a little bit into it and then suddenly not have time, energy or interest? But at the same time, you really want to improve your health, appearance and fitness. As with most goals, you’ll succeed only by persevering when the going
gets tough. We have a few tips for you that we think will help you to stay motivated going forward:
This will help you stay committed to the goals you have set out for yourself. Pick a person who is in this journey with you so that they can motivate you to continue with the healthy journey.
Exercise doesn’t have to be boring. Find sports and activities that you enjoy then change the routine to keep it interesting. You are more likely to stick with a fitness program if you’re having fun.
Schedule a time for workouts as you would any other important activity. You can slip in physical activity throughout the day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, take a walk during a break at work, doing five squats anytime you go the bathroom etc. Through this, you make physical activity part of your lifestyle.
Create an epic reward system that will come into play when you reach your goals. Avoid food rewards as they could tempt you into having junk food. Some non-food recommendations include spa treatments, enjoying a day out, buying that shirt you have been admiring and more.
