Don’t Just Try It. Do It, Then Be It

We’re in the middle of the year already, and we want to take stock of where we are on our resolutions.

 

This month, we’ll look at how to get back on track with your goals and resolutions. It is very important to frequently pause and see if you’re still in the right direction. Doing this can make all the difference.

 

Whether you want to lose weight, write a book, or work on improving yourself in general, one of the ways to get back on track with your goals and resolutions is to recall your intention. Another way to get back on track is to have an accountability partner. Sometimes what you may need is someone to push you to crush your goals. This may be a friend, a family member, or even a significant other. It can be someone you trust, someone who you know has your best interest at heart. They will be there to support you and cheer you on and motivate you when you feel like throwing in the towel.

 

From the famous words of legendary artist Aaliyah, ‘if at first you don’t succeed dust yourself off and try again.’ It’s not about how many times you fall it’s about how many times you get up. Like Abraham Lincoln said, ‘When you veer off you must ask yourself what caused it.’

 

Maybe you thought you were too ambitious. Or maybe you veered off due to unavoidable circumstances like falling sick. Don’t be too hard on yourself pick yourself back up and pick up where you left off.

 

Remember, accomplishing goals is all about having solid strategies and planning. We must make up our minds and do what we need to do. Doing doesn’t necessarily mean that you won’t make mistakes. It’s about having the mamba mentality that says “I will accomplish my goals no matter what. I am willing to do what it takes. Nothing will stop me, not even me.”
